Ram Recovery is an inclusive community designed to provide support to enrolled and aspiring students pursing a degree in higher education. This community provides support for students on all paths and in all phases of recovery including substance use disorders, eating disorders, as well as process and other co-occurring mental health disorders. Ram Recovery is a registered student organization within CSU’s Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement Office, and we hold our meetings in the CSU Health & Medical Center. The main Ram Recovery Leadership Team is comprised of one full-time CSU staff member who assists with the recovery community in addition to their primary position, as well as two graduate student advisors majoring in Marriage and Family Therapy and Student Affairs in Higher Education respectively. Our community is currently mid-size, with roughly twenty active members participating in our recovery supportive programs. We currently hold two General Recovery Meetings per week and look forward to building out our programming based on the needs of the students in the community at any particular time or semester. There are no requirements for membership. We welcome newcomers to engage to their degree of comfort and we ask that all students have twenty-four hours of sobriety before attending a meeting or event.
