Samantha Reitz
Midwest Region Representative
Samantha Reitz is the Collegiate Recovery Coordinator at Indiana University Bloomington, where she has led the Collegiate Recovery Community since December 2021. She earned her Bachelor’s (2015) and Master’s (2017) degrees in Criminal Justice from the University at Albany, SUNY, and has worked in substance use disorder treatment and recovery in Indiana since completing her education.
Samantha serves on the Board of Directors for Centerstone Health Services, contributing to strategic planning and governance to expand access to primary care, mental health, and recovery supports for underserved populations. She also serves on the Board of Pathway to Recovery, where she assists with grant writing and guides community engagement efforts to support individuals in both early and long-term recovery. In addition, she is a state organizer for Indiana’s Recovery Advocacy Project, advancing policy change and grassroots advocacy to reduce stigma and strengthen recovery supports.
As a family member impacted by substance use disorder, Samantha brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her work, remaining deeply committed to creating communities where recovery is supported, celebrated, and sustained.
