Hello Members and Stakeholders of ARHE,
On behalf of the Association of Recovery in Higher Education Board of Directors, we are proud to announce that Kristina Canfield will serve as our newly appointed, Executive Director. Before being appointed Interim Executive Director in late October 2021, Kristina served as our Membership and Programs Manager but has been a part of the ARHE organization in various roles for quite some time.
Though we experienced a demanding transition, we attribute our success and stability to Kristina’s leadership and steadfastness. Kristina is well-respected amongst our field and her willingness to be both flexible and persistent proved to withstand the challenges of moving our organization forward without skipping a beat. We are grateful for her and look towards the future with her at the helm.
As our association continues to expand, globally, it is imperative that ARHE’s Executive Director can empathize with collegiate recovery staff, understand the challenges of program development, and be able to advocate both on national and international levels for more equitable and sustainable solutions that will ultimately benefit the programs and students they support. This is exactly who we have in Kristina Canfield, and we are honored to stand alongside her in this endeavor.
We ask that you join us in congratulating Kristina Canfield in her new role!
Sincerely,
Jarmichael R. Harris – Co-Chair, ARHE Board of Directors
Ahmed Hosni – Co-Chair, ARHE Board of Directors
