Rachelle Ellis is a Registered Art Therapist and Certified Health and Wellness coach with a demonstrated history of providing direct art therapy services to adults with substance use disorders, as well as adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses who are justice-involved. In this talk, Rachelle will describe how art therapy can be used to support adults in their recovery processes and will also provide an example art therapy directive for each stage of change. Image examples and supply list suggestions will be provided. The talk will also highlight some ethical considerations for mental health clinicians who want to use art materials and processes in their services.
