Santee Ezell, MS, PCED, CHES, CHWI, CPM, CNP facilitates this a presentation which explores how college staff and faculty can utilize environmental scans and storytelling to enhance campus substance use prevention and recovery efforts. By integrating data with personal narratives, we can better understand student substance use trends, identify service gaps, and foster a supportive environment for prevention and recovery. This approach empowers campuses to address substance use in a data-driven and profoundly human way, leading to more effective policies, programs, and student support systems.

Staff Chats take place on Tuesdays at 12pm ET and explore new topics each week!

This programming was made possible by the Center for Addiction Recovery Support (CARS), a national SAMHSA-funded initiative dedicated to advancing recovery support nationwide. CARS provides training, technical assistance, and innovative resources for individuals, organizations, and institutions supporting recovery.

As a partner organization, the Association of Recovery in Higher Education (ARHE) partners with CARS to expand technical assistance, best practices, and institutional guidance for collegiate recovery programs (CRPs). Together, we are equipping higher education institutions with the tools and expertise needed to build, sustain, and grow recovery-supportive environments on their campuses.
