Join Mike and Chris, Peer Recovery Navigators with the UCalgary Recovery Community, for a powerful conversation on men’s mental health and the vital role of peer support in recovery. Drawing from their lived experience, they’ll explore topics such as the student experience of addiction without support, emotional expression, male friendships, and suicide prevention. They’ll also share lessons from their work as PRNs, highlighting how paid peer roles can foster healing, connection, and resilience—for both staff and the students they support.

Staff Chats take place on Tuesdays at 12pm ET and explore new topics each week!

This programming was made possible by the Center for Addiction Recovery Support (CARS), a national SAMHSA-funded initiative dedicated to advancing recovery support nationwide. CARS provides training, technical assistance, and innovative resources for individuals, organizations, and institutions supporting recovery.

As a partner organization, the Association of Recovery in Higher Education (ARHE) partners with CARS to expand technical assistance, best practices, and institutional guidance for collegiate recovery programs (CRPs). Together, we are equipping higher education institutions with the tools and expertise needed to build, sustain, and grow recovery-supportive environments on their campuses.
