Champions for Recovery in Higher Education

Investing in students. Strengthening recovery. Transforming higher education.

Become a Champion

Champions for Recovery in Higher Education (CRHE) is ARHE’s philanthropic giving community bringing together individuals committed to ensuring that students never have to choose between recovery and academic success.

Why Collegiate Recovery Matters

Across the country, students in recovery are pursuing higher education while navigating unique challenges that require intentional support, community, and resources. Collegiate Recovery Programs (CRPs) provide that foundation, helping students succeed academically while sustaining their recovery.

Yet, despite growing demand, these programs remain under-resourced. Many campuses are just beginning to build recovery supports, often without dedicated funding, staffing, or infrastructure.

Students should never have to choose between recovery and their education.
CRHE exists to ensure they don’t have to.

What is CRHE?

Champions for Recovery in Higher Education (CRHE) is ARHE’s national donor recognition and giving community.

While ARHE membership connects professionals and institutions, CRHE provides a distinct opportunity for individuals to invest in the broader mission supporting the growth, sustainability, and future of collegiate recovery.

CRHE is grounded in:

  • Belonging – A shared commitment to students and recovery
  • Impact – Supporting national initiatives and program expansion
  • Visibility – Recognizing leadership in advancing this work
  • Purpose – Building a stronger future for higher education

CRHE is about impact, leadership, and shared commitment.
