ARHE is excited to announce that Bret Frazier (he/him) has accepted the grant-funded full-time position as ARHE’s newest team member. Bret officially started in this position on Monday, January 8th and will act as the Technical Assistance Coordinator and provide direct technical assistance (TA) to collegiate recovery programs to support the continued growth and sustainability of CRPs and the profession.

In addition to formerly serving as a contracted Technical Assistance Specialist for ARHE as part of the Partnership to Expand Collegiate Recovery with the Independence Blue Cross Foundation in Southeast Pennsylvania, Bret has also served as the Secretary of the ARHE Advisory Council and has a rich background in collegiate recovery initiatives. Bret comes to ARHE from Georgia Southern University’s Center for Addiction Recovery, where he developed impactful programs for over 5 years while serving as the program coordinator and interim director. With an MBA reinforcing his strategic acumen, Bret is dedicated to extending the impact of collegiate recovery programs nationwide.

“I am thrilled to embark on this new journey as the Technical Assistance Coordinator with ARHE, an organization that has been a cornerstone of support throughout my professional growth. In this role, I am eager to contribute to the success of collegiate recovery programs by providing tailored assistance, drawing upon the invaluable resources ARHE offers. This opportunity is not just a role transition for me; it’s a significant step toward advancing and advocating for the transformative impact of collegiate recovery efforts. Together, I believe we can achieve remarkable success in fostering excellence and inclusion within the collegiate recovery landscape.” – Bret

“My vision for ARHE has always been that we would become the center for technical assistance for collegiate recovery programs. The addition of this position and Bret to our team is one more step toward achieving that vision. I had the opportunity to oversee Bret in his former contracted position with ARHE and his ability to connect with and inspire collegiate recovery professionals while generating results through technical assistance demonstrates the critical difference that technical assistance can have on the development, growth, and sustainability of collegiate recovery programs. I am thrilled that ARHE will be able to formally offer these services and am excited for the results. I am also very grateful for the funding for this position from the Peer Recovery Center of Excellence.” – Kristina
