About the Program

Rams in Recovery is Virginia Commonwealth University’s Collegiate Recovery Program housed within the Wellness Resource Center, a part of student affairs. With more than 50 students actively involved, VCU is one of the larger programs on the east coast. Supports available include 15 recovery groups a week on campus(including 12 step, All Recovery, SMART Recovery & Refuge Recovery), 2 family education programs, recovery housing, recovery focused course work, recovery coaching, and a recovery clubhouse near the center of campus. Our clubhouse is open 7 days a week and always staffed by students in recovery.

ARHE provides the education, resources, and community connection needed to help change the trajectory of recovering student’s lives. We are a network of professionals, administrators, faculty, staff, students, parents and policy makers.

COLLEGIATE RECOVERY PROGRAM

A Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP) is a college or university-provided program that includes a supportive environment within the campus culture. CRPs reinforce the decision to engage in a lifestyle of recovery from addiction/substance use disorder. It is designed to provide an educational opportunity alongside recovery supports to ensure that students do not have to sacrifice one for the other.
