About the Program

We are under the Indiana University Health Center (Student). We have a dedicated space in a house shared with Substance Use Intervention Services office. We have office and meeting space. We have a full time staff position. We are currently small and do not have dedicated housing. We have weekly meetings, support for academics and mental health. Anyone in recovery, seeking recovery, interested in knowing more about recovery or is a recovery ally, is welcome. Also those wishing to attend sober events. Contact is Travis Lawson (Community Recovery Coordinator)- 812-856-3898 or [email protected]

Become a member of arhe!

The Association of Recovery in Higher Education (ARHE) is the only association exclusively representing collegiate recovery programs (CRPs) and collegiate recovery communities (CRCs), the faculty and staff who support them, and the students who represent them. ARHE provides the education, resources, and community connection needed to help change the trajectory of recovering student’s lives. We are a network of professionals, administrators, faculty, staff, students, parents and policy makers.

A Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP) is a college or university-provided program that includes a supportive environment within the campus culture. CRPs reinforce the decision to engage in a lifestyle of recovery from addiction/substance use disorder. It is designed to provide an educational opportunity alongside recovery supports to ensure that students do not have to sacrifice one for the other.

**Supporting Our Collegiate Recovery Programs Affected by Hurricane Helene**

To our friends and colleagues affected by Hurricane Helene. We know that Hurricane Helene has caused immense challenges for some collegiate recovery programs, and we are here to offer our support. If your program has been impacted, please do not hesitate to reach out when the time is right for you. We are committed to supporting our community, staff, and students - whether that's with resources or simply someone to listen.
