About the Program
Longwood University’s recovery program was founded in 2013 in Farmville, Virginia. We hold an office and group space within the Upchurch University Center, in the heart of student activity. Currently, we have one Director and one dedicated part-time Graduate Assistant supporting the program. Our program is considered small-sized with one group meeting per week as well as one-on-one support meetings with students as needed.

COLLEGIATE RECOVERY PROGRAM
A Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP) is a college or university-provided program that includes a supportive environment within the campus culture. CRPs reinforce the decision to engage in a lifestyle of recovery from addiction/substance use disorder. It is designed to provide an educational opportunity alongside recovery supports to ensure that students do not have to sacrifice one for the other.
